Hey, I’m Kimberley a mum to three little girls with a love for content creation sharing our experiences and journey as a family on my Instagram page - @Our.darling.daughters.

If like us you’re wondering when is it best to start potty training? Well when the time is right for you and your child!

We started potty training our girls after they turned two by introducing sitting on a potty as part of their daily routine! We found it easier to potty train in the summer so little ones are wearing fewer clothes making it easier to get on and off the potty, but also being able to wash and dry clothes quick enough when they have accidents. Remember to try and stay consistent if you can, so you don’t confuse your little one.

Top 5 Potty Training Essentials

My Carry Potty

Our number one go to potty training essential is the trusty my carry potty. Lightweight, leakproof, portable and easy to clean. Come in so many different colours and designs too making it fun and exciting for your little ones!

Hygge Sheets

Children’s waterproof mattress protector for night time potty training & bedwetting. These are brilliant as they’re super absorbent and have four layers of protection ensuring your mattress remains 100% dry and protected against those night-time accidents.

Bambino Mio Reuseable Potty Training Pants

These pants were a potty training lifesaver for us as they helped build the girls confidence going from nappies to big girl pants! Reliable for catching those small accidents and soft, stretchy material for those little ones always on the go.

Potty Training Books

Every child has their favourite character whether its Hey Duggee, Bing or Peppa Pig. There are so many books out there for your little ones to hear you reading about their favourite character enjoying potty training! Remember to make it enjoyable for you and little one.

Reward and Sticker Charts

Offering a simple sticker and reward chart is fab, praising your little one’s when potty training brings them so much joy and encouragement. Pampers Nappies offer free printable charts on their website.
